The GPGT Lesson Kit
The Game Programmer’s Guide to Torque comes with The GPGT Lesson Kit Application. This application is designed to demonstrate topics discussed in the book as well as to facilitate self-learning, teaching, and collaborative experiences. To do this, the application contains four tools. In addition to the content provided with the kit, new content is easy to add and use. Simply follow the directions in Appendix B to add your own custom lessons.

3D Lesson Tool
This tool is used to demonstrate the usage of individual 3D classes and other engine features, used alone or together.
The tool can be run standalone or in a multiplayer networked mode, with one controller and up to 63 additional client connections. All users may interact in the environment but only the controller may change the current lesson, making it ideal for local and remote classroom usage.

GUI Sampler Tool
This tool provides a harness for examining individual GUI controls in use.
The sampler comes with 22 samples demonstrating the features and usage of the most commonly used GUI controls.
Interface Sampler Tool
This tool provides a harness for examining entire interfaces in action.
The sampler comes with two sets of complete game interfaces and three sample HUDS.

Sample Script Console Tool
This tool is used to show sample scripts in a classroom setting. Samples may be typed in directly or may loaded from a file.
